Tool: Data analysis:'R'

R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. It is a GNU project which is similar to the S language and environment which was developed at Bell Laboratories (formerly AT&T, now Lucent Technologies) by John Chambers and colleagues. R can be considered as a different implementation of S. There are some important differences, but much code written for S runs unaltered under R.


The R Project for Statistical Computing (or just R for short) is a powerful data analysis tool. It
is both a programming language and a computational and graphical environment.
R is free, open source software made available under the GNU General Public License. It runs
on Mac, Windows, and Unix operating systems.

Luwak

Luwak is an XML-based J2EE web application written by Rensselaer's Communication and Collaboration Technologies. Designed originally in 2001 for the management and delivery of news content, it is evolving into a full-fledged content management system. It allows for centralized management of information through a web interface and provides a means to deliver this information to any platform, device, or media in any XML or text format.
